This extension nut raises the strings at the nut for slide or steel guitar playing without replacing the original nut. Just loosen the strings and slide the nut in - then re-tune! Great for lap steel or slide practise or performance on any guitar you own - all without any modifications!! We at ZZGuitarworks have begun in-house manufacturing of the finest hand-crafted nut extenders available anywhere! They are very small, stay in place and don't get in the player's way. The back slant nut series fits nuts that have a sharply tapered andle facing the tuners and a sharper nut top. This is the most common of the Gibson/Epiphone nut models. These extenders have exact nut width and string spread dimensions to match the guitar model. Players love these new models - they install them, flatten up the bridge a bit (less radius curve) and have a near flat playing surface making slide playing fun and easy!! Our extenders are destined to be the most important guitar accessory for slide players. Set up your guitar in minutes with no permanent modifications. Being made from brass is a big improvement on the guitar's sound. They match nut width and size so you don't even know they are there, except for the perfect elevation of the strings!! Be gentle when installing - don't bend the extender. Over time the string pressure will allow the extender to conform to the shape of the nut!! Due to inconsistent factory nut shapes and dimensions we recommend you file our nuts, if needed, for the perfect fit!! Nut width is 1 & 11/16" and the string spread is 1 & 7/16".
